You can almost hear it if you listen closely; thousands of feet pounding to the rhythms of drive and determination as they traverse 26.2 miles of asphalt and agony towards the finish. For some, the morning of October 16, 2011 represents their first bout with the beast called “marathon.” For others, this will be a rematch and yet another test of will and strength on a course that’s ranked as one of the top fall marathons and one of the best marathons in the nation.

This month features two virtual runs, 5k races, 10k races, a 6-mile trail series, 2-milers and a tower climb in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Brace yourselves; spring is on the way. Keep those winter workouts going with a cycling, running, or multi-sport event. Your body will love you for it.
